Dobson + Beaumont
History

In 1917, Thomas Dobson set up his metalworking business in Morton Street, Blackburn. Quickly joined by his two sons, Frank and Stanley, the business went from strength to strength. After making caterpillar tracks and shell casings during the second world war, the business developed into thread rolling specialists during the latter half of the 20th century. In 1965, Philip Dobson joined and would lead his grandfather's business for 50 years including its merger to become Dobson and Beaumont in 1978. Continuity was secured with a Management Buy Out in 2021, and the principles of top quality, consistency and “it has to be right” will be maintained.

Building on the years of experience within the business, we offer same day quotes, industry leading lead times when you need them, and aim to foster strong, long term relationships with our customers who trust us with their reputation.
