E-mail Settings

Use your favourite FTP application to move your web site to the web server.

You will need the following details to enter into your FTP Client:

Host name : www.dobsonandbeaumont.co.uk
Username : As supplied
Password : As supplied

Your server supports PHP, MySQL, ASP, Frontpage Extensions*

Be sure your homepage is named index.html, index.htm, index.php or index.asp as your server will check in the above order for those files.

To setup your E-mail using your E-mail Client you will need the following settings:

POP3 Server : mail.dobsonandbeaumont.co.uk
SMTP Server : mail.dobsonandbeaumont.co.uk
Account Name : As supplied
Password : As supplied

You can also administer your E-mail accounts via a web browser by pointing it to:

Livestats™

Useful Information

Your server is equipped with Livestats™. With this you can view in realtime your web server statistics.  These include page hits, active user sessions, referrals and type of web browsers accessing your site.

To access your Livestats™ point your web browser at:

http://www.dobsonandbeaumont.co.uk:510/

You will need your Livestats username to access this which we will have already provided to you.

Web Design: We recommend Macromedia Dreamweaver.  Call us for more details on pricing and training.

FTP Clients: CuteFTP is one of the market leaders in FTP Clients. You can download a trial version which lasts 30 days and then pay for the continued use which costs about £20 for a license. Alternatively, you can download a FREE FTP Client called LeechFTP which is Freeware and does not cost to use it. Orbit does not offer Technical Support on either of these products.
