At the beginning of the last century Thos. F Dobson started a precision engineering business in Blackburn based on the principal “only the best is good enough” and when the Dobson and Beaumont families merged their engineering interests in 1978 and quickly doubled their joint capacity, the success of their enterprise owed much to the long established reputation for excellence of product and integrity in all dealings earned by previous generations of directors and employees.
For over fifty years thread rolling has been a key element in our operations, and the current generation of products “hold together” Grand Prix racing cars, hospital scanners, power station generators and suspension bridges. Our products range in diameter from 3mm to 100mm, and confident that our objectives will be achieved through the training, qualification and commitment of our staff, and the sophistication of our capacity to inspect materials, precision machine and form roll components, we will continue to believe in the 21st century that only the best is good enough.
